Located within Spennymoor’s Town Hall you’ll find The Bob Abley Art Gallery. Spanning two floors there’s a large selection of art for sale from regionally and internationally renowned artists, including works by Norman Cornish, a lifelong resident of Spennymoor. Transport
Buses serve the area of Spennymoor, with services running between Durham and Bishop Auckland and also between Newcastle and Bishop Auckland. By car, Durham is just a 6 mile drive down the A167 and Bishop Auckland, also just 6 miles away, is a quick journey down the A688. A trip by car down the A1 will see you arrive in Newcastle upon Tyne in little over half an hour.
