OUR RECOMMENDED INDEPENDENT MORTGAGE ADVISORS

OUR RECOMMENDED INDEPENDENT MORTGAGE ADVISORS

The first step most people will take before getting onto the property ladder is applying for a mortgage. We are here to guide you through every stage of the process, which includes offering the services of our recommended panel of independent mortgage advisors.

What is a mortgage?

A mortgage is a type of loan you take out to buy your home. How much you borrow will depend on the value of your home and how much you put down as a deposit.

You will need at least 5% of your home’s value as a deposit. The rest of the money will be lent to you by your chosen bank or building society, providing you’ve met eligibility criteria and passed the credit checks.

Take a look at our guide to the different types of mortgage here.

Our independent mortgage advisors

If you choose one of our team of recommended independent mortgage advisors, they will take care of everything from helping you to get all of the necessary paperwork together, to researching the best mortgage options. They can also speak to you about interest rates, repayment terms and the different types of mortgage available.

Our Customer Experience Managers can put you in touch with one of our recommended independent mortgage advisors.

When to approach a mortgage advisor

Before you decide to buy a new home, you may wish to apply for a mortgage in principle. This is when a lender will state that, providing all the financial and personal information you have given is accurate, they would be willing to lend you the money you need to buy your home.

Formal mortgage offers generally last for three to six months. This is why it’s important to speak to your Customer Experience Manager, who can advise when would be the right time to apply for your mortgage.

To find out more about our new homes and to discuss the different financial options available, find your nearest development and speak to one of our Customer Experience Managers.
