About Definition

Definition is 2.5 miles west of Derby, the UK’s most central city and home to the prestigious British brand Rolls Royce. The development is ideally placed for city life and 15 miles from the hills and moorlands of Derbyshire’s Peak District National Park.

GETTING AROUND

Living at Definition gives you good connections to the A38, which runs from Cornwall in the south right through to Mansfield in the north. The closest access point to the A38 is 1.6 miles from home, while you can be on the A52 in around five minutes.

The M1, which links the area to Leicester, Nottingham and other cities in the north and beyond, is around a 20-minute drive away at 13.6 miles.

Your public transport options
Catching public transport is easy when you’re living in Mackworth. The number 8 Derby to Mackworth Circular Arriva bus service runs past Definition every 10 minutes at peak times.  

Derby Railway Station is 3.8 miles from home with direct trains to London St Pancras in less than an hour and a half. Services are also available other major cities throughout the country, including Sheffield, Newcastle, Plymouth and Glasgow.

The train station also provides the Derby Skylink bus service to East Midlands Airport. The journey takes around 40 minutes, although if you’d rather drive, the airport is 28 minutes away from Definition.
