Based on the outskirts of Cleckheaton, Aakash Indian claims to be the ‘largest Indian restaurant in the world’ and offers a famous 5 course buffet prepared by their 5-star chefs. The buffet offers you the opportunity to try over 50 Indian dishes; perfect if you can’t decide or just want to try something new, and means there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes - even the kids!


Located next to King Edward VII Memorial Park, Wok Ever Palace is where the locals in Cleckheaton head out to if it's Chinese cuisine they're after. Whether you’re looking for a family fun day at the pool or want to get into shape and test your fitness, Spen Valley Leisure Centre has plenty of sports and leisure facilities to offer. Replacing the Spenborough pool which came before it, the leisure centre has been shaped by the thoughts and views of local residents in order to support healthier lifestyles and evolving fitness needs. You'll find a 25m and a 20m pool, fitness suite, two fitness studios, athletics track and cycling studio, as well as a range of classes to choose from.


Founded in 1900, the club was designed by world famous golf architect Dr Alister MacKenzie. Cleckheaton Golf Club is a private member club, which lets you enjoy the 18 hole 6155 yard par 70 parkland course.


Located just two miles outside of Cleckheaton, Oakwell Hall Country Park offers a fun day out for all the family. Within 110 acres of award winning parkland, visitors can enjoy walking around the period gardens or along nature trails before stopping off at ones of picnic areas. There's also a playground for children of all abilities. If you’re in the mood to relax, you can sit back with coffee and cake in the café whilst taking in the stunning surroundings of the 16th century manor house.
