Explore Hull

Situated just a few miles from the East Yorkshire coast and home to the famous Humber bridge and The Deep, Hull is one of the fastest growing cities in Yorkshire.

With the city being continuously pumped with new investments and improvements, it isn’t hard to see why it is quickly gaining popularity as one of the key places to live, work and relax. Since winning the UK’s City Of Culture Award in 2017, Hull has received around £1 billion in investments – including a huge £1 million in funding for new visitor attractions and venues.

With this in mind, there is certainly nothing short of things to do during your visit to Hull. Here are a few of our favourite places to visit, from small independent shops to tasty brunch spots and even some of the local museums.

Nibble

Nestled away in the dock, Nibble is the perfect place to go for a hearty brunch and a delicious coffee with friends. From a huge variety of sweet treats to a mouth watering breakfast sandwich or burger, there is something to satisfy everyone’s appetite.

Homestead

Not only does the shop sell a variety of unique art, Homestead also hosts a variety of different creative workshops to allow you to create your own art such as life drawing or wreath making classes.

Museum Quarter

Hull is rich in history, diversity and culture – so much so that they have a whole museum quarter filled with a variety of different museums to visit. All of these museums are free to visit and offer a great day out for any children or budding historians! Whether you prefer Woolley mammoths, iron age boats or even the past street life, there is a museum for every topic of interest.

Ophelia
