Sustainable Christmas wrapping paper we are loving this year


You may not know this, but most wrapping paper on the market isn’t recyclable and can play a massive detrimental role to our planet each Christmas. This is because most wrapping paper designs are laminated in a thin plastic layer to give that glossy appearance whilst also often containing glitter, foil or even certain types of ink that prevent it from being able to go into your recycling bin at home. 

It is estimated that 227,000 miles of wrapping paper is dumped into landfill each year…that is equivalent to almost 5,045 trips around Yorkshire!

Western Sketch is a small business located in West Bridgeford, Nottingham and is ran by the very talented Melissa. There are so many brilliant cards and gift wrap available on offer which are all designed and sketched by Melissa herself. Our personal favourites are the gingerbread man theme, the mince pies (because they are so cute) and the timeless candy cane print.

Prices start at around £9 for three sheets which also includes delivery.

Cox and Cox

We are a huge fan of Cox and Cox here at Strata, we really believe in what they stand for with their passion for sustainable and ethically sourced products. It is fantastic to see that this even goes for their smaller items such as wrapping paper!

There is a wide variety of designs and colour schemes available from textured kraft paper to red ribbons, snow flakes and mini stars!
