Outstanding development and my Godsend Sheereen
I am in the process of buying a Seville at the Strata Verve development in Glasshougton. I was deliberating between an Avant home and Strata but after seeing the show homes and the absolute quality of the build, it was a no brainier. I paid my deposit immediately. Right from the outset, Sheereen has been an absolute ⭐️. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and she is 100% on the customer agenda. Reliable, friendly, obliging and efficient, she is with you every single step of the way. I cannot praise her highly enough. Strata Verve
The experience so far with Strata and Sheereen at the Verve development has been fantastic. As a first time buyer the process has been much easier and straightforward than I expected thanks to Sheereen and the team at Strata. Things are moving along with ease and having picked my customer choices and exchanged contracts, I am excited to move onwards to completion. Dream home has been just that - a dream
I bought my home back in September 2021 on the verve site. After an initial query led to me realising I couldn’t afford my dream home, I went away determined to save more money/sell my first for more. I managed to do both and in May 2021 I reserved my dream Palermo. I was given an Aug-Oct move in date and was in for the beginning of September. The quality of my home is incredible. I had professional snaggers out and they too complimented the quality of the home; stating that strata are consistently the best builds out of all the ones they go. Sheereen in the sales office was wonderful, she couldn’t do enough for me and still checks in every now and again even though it’s no longer her role. Ali and Ian on site are too amazing. Nothing was too much to ask since moving in and I know I could still contact them if I needed anything. All in all, I’d highly recommend strata to buy a home. Thank you all for your amazing customer service and to the rest of the build team for all of their help too!

Since Sheereen has been involved in the purchasing of our family home, we have experienced nothing but professional, informative and friendly help and advice! Sheereen has been responsive to emails and made our journey with strata an enjoyable and stress-free one. As for site manager Ian, no ask is too big or too small. He has provided us with several methods to contact him and responds to communication swiftly, often getting the job done that very same day! What more can you ask for! A great experience
We reserved plot 118 in November 2020 and from start to finish was an easy journey thanks to Sheereen and Strata's legal team. We got our keys in February 2021 so everything happened quickly and on time even though covid was still on the scene. Sheereen helped us every step of the way. She was always friendly, approachable and happy to help with any of our queries. We felt we had a lot of support throughout the process. We moved into the property gradually and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the build... we have found strata to have nicer finishes than some of the other new builds we have been in. Ian the site manager was always on hand and happy to help or point us in the right direction. Our snag list was completed thanks to Andy and we are extremely happy with our new home.

How do I reserve a plot online?
Once you have chosen the perfect plot for your new home, select the plot in the Current Availability section on the development or house type page. Click Reserve Now, follow the simple steps and the plot will be held for you.
How do I request a brochure?
You can download a brochure on the development page of your choice, or if you'd like us to post one to your home, select 'Request more details' and tick the 'Post me a brochure' option as part of the form.
How do I book a viewing?
Navigate to the development or home you would like to view and click 'Book a Viewing'. You can then select a convenient time and date for you.
How do I contact the Customer Care department?

A bespoke selling plan for homeowners

The Assisted Selling Plan is designed to help homeowners climb the property ladder. As part of the scheme, we will organise the sale of your existing home, making sure you receive the best possible price. This will allow you to reserve your new home with us.

We will create a personal selling plan, including a review of the property market in your area and an agreed sale price for your home based on two independent valuations.

We will work closely with the nominated estate agent to arrange all viewings and enquiries. All offers will be presented to you, and our Customer Experience Manager will guide you through the negotiation process. 

Once you accept an offer we will track the sale of your home, while you start planning for your brand new one. If your chosen home is ready within a four-month period, we may offer to buy your existing home in part exchange.

First Time Buyers: Buy a new home with 5% deposit

This government-backed scheme allows you to own 100% of your home and only pay 80% of the price upfront. You provide the 5% deposit and the government will lend you up to 20% as an equity loan. You can then apply for a mortgage based on the remaining 75% of the house price.
 
The Help to Buy: Equity Loan is available to first time buyers and is subject to eligibility, terms and conditions apply. Regional price caps do apply, and the Equity Loan is only avauilable on new build homes, built between April 2021 and March 2023.

Glasshoughton has something for everyone to enjoy in their free time, with a choice of family friendly local attractions, and stunning Yorkshire landscapes within easy reach.
 
RSPB Fairburn Ings is a popular place for families to take a relaxed walk together and spot nature in a beautiful landscape. Rich in wildlife, the reserve is home to hundreds of different birds and mammals, as well as the minibeasts which make their home in the Bug Village. Wander the fully accessible 500 metre Discovery Trail, explore the play area with den building and climbing wall or pick up some nature friendly equipment in the shop to make your new garden a haven for wildlife.

You’ll find one of Yorkshire’s favourite children’s attractions, Diggerland, is just eight minutes from home by car. The family can ride giant diggers and dumper trucks, and take the wheel of their own mini diggers, go-karts and more. Eight miles away is The Wonky Donkey Visitors Centre, where you can take a guided tour of the farm and meet the donkeys, goats and ponies being rehabilitated there. 

A two minute drive away is Xscape, a vast leisure complex offering everything from urban climbing, laser tag and glow in the dark adventure golf to skiing, sledging and riding the skycoaster. There’s also a cinema and an array of restaurants to enjoy, as well as the Junction 32 shopping outlet across the road.

There is a selection of great local schools in Glasshoughton, including the Half Acres Primary Academy and Ackton Pastures Primary School, both of which are just a five-minute drive from home.
 
For 11-18 year olds there are a number of options, including the St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School & Sixth Form Academy, just two minutes away by car or a 20-minute walk. Castleford Academy is also just a six-minute drive away, or 15 minutes by bus.

Wakefield College, is the largest college in the district and was rated Good by Ofsted. As well as its Wakefield City Campus, it also has campus in Castleford, just a mile away from Verve, and offers vocational courses, apprenticeships and foundation learning in addition to its sixth form. 
 
For higher education, the University of Leeds is ranked 13th best in the UK and is just a 23-minute drive from Glasshoughton. The University of Bradford is also just 30 minutes away by car.

For fitness and wellbeing, JD Gyms at Xscape is less than a mile from Verve, offering state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, over 300 classes a month, spacious changing rooms and free parking. 
 
Normanton Leisure is only five miles away and a spacious, six lane, 25m length swimming pool, ideal for all ages and abilities. The centre also has a training gym which has a range of equipment, as well as Pilates, HIIT, group exercise and group indoor cycling.

If you’re looking for something different, why not try martial arts? You’ll find Chuldow Martial Arts Castleford is just a three-minute drive from home.

Whitwood Golf Course is less than a ten minute drive away. A par 70, it’s suitable for players of all abilities, and there’s also a 9 hole footgolf course, as well as a clubhouse offering a warm welcome to members and visitors alike.

The M62 is just five minutes from Verve, meaning you have fast and easy access to major UK towns and cities, including Bradford which is around a half hour drive, Manchester which can be reached in just over an hour and Hull is less than a hour away. 
 
For train travel you’ll find your local station, Glasshoughton, is just four minutes from home and runs regular Northern Rail services to Leeds and Knottingley. If you’d like to pick up some interior accessories for your new home, or something to brighten up the garden, there is a large B&Q store located just next to Xscape. The retail park also has a range of food outlets, including McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC, and The Winding Wheel is a family friendly pub restaurant serving grilled dishes, salads, burgers and steaks.

You’ll find many locals go to Farmer Copley’s, a family run farm shop around ten minutes from Verve for their fresh produce. They’re also famous for their pumpkin picking events in October, along with regular events such as Barn Dances, Dog Shows, Tractor Rallies, Easter Festival and Festival on the Farm, and of course, the Moo Café.
