Creating Functional Space for the Community at Elegance
Following engagement with Ackworth Parish Council we adapted the design of our Elegance development to include a Community Centre that will be handed over to the Parish Council upon completion to be used for events and to create a central hub for the community.
The space consists of a large community hall, a meeting room, kitchenette, toilet facilities and has WIFI connection to allow the community to use the space for a variety of purposes such as hosting meetings and business events and for community focused events centred around wellbeing, upskilling and socialising. The centre also borders the existing outdoor recreational space, extending the opportunities for different community groups to use both the indoor and outdoor facilities.
The wider development at Elegance consists of 56 affordable homes of mixed tenures and has been designed to connect to local businesses and amenities in the village of Ackworth as well as surrounding areas via public transport to encourage local spending and support the local economy.
