About Origin

Origin is a collection of 152 homes, ranging from two to four bedrooms. The development is positioned on farmland on the edge of Featherstone, a flourishing town that’s 15 miles from Leeds and seven from Wakefield. Spacious and open, we’re creating green, shared spaces at the heart of the development which is fast becoming a thriving community, including plenty of first time buyers and families looking to upgrade.

Featherstone has a rich mining history and a thriving rugby league club. It's a well-established, vibrant place with a strong community spirit, making it is a popular choice for families who enjoy a choice of good schools (including one rated ‘outstanding’), and those who want to be able to leave work in Wakefield or Leeds, get home quickly, and feel a world away from the city.

“We have already grown close with three other couples on the development and regularly see them for drinks and nights in.”
Gaynor and Ashley, Origin

“The team at Origin was always prepared to go the extra mile to make sure we were well-settled into our new home”
Col and Abi, Origin

With our Assisted Selling Plan, we will organise the sale of your existing home for the best possible price, allowing you to reserve your new home with us. In some cases we will offer to buy your existing home in part exchange.

The recent Stamp Duty reform has divided house prices into different tax bands to make buying a new home more affordable.

You can also personalise your home with an Optional Upgrade Package. Your Customer Experience Manager will advise on our range of standard and optional upgrades, including wardrobes, kitchen appliances and flooring packages.

Which option is best for you?

A bespoke selling plan for homeowners

The Assisted Selling Plan is designed to help homeowners climb the property ladder. As part of the scheme, we will organise the sale of your existing home, making sure you receive the best possible price. This will allow you to reserve your new home with us.

We will create a personal selling plan, including a review of the property market in your area and an agreed sale price for your home based on two independent valuations. We will work closely with the nominated estate agent to arrange all viewings and enquiries. All offers will be presented to you, and our Customer Experience Manager will guide you through the negotiation process.

Once you accept an offer we will track the sale of your home, while you start planning for your brand new one.
If your chosen home is ready within a four-month period, we may offer to buy your existing home in part exchange.
