The town can be reached via the A619 and is just 5 miles from Chesterfield. Bolsover is just 6 miles from Chesterfield, and most notably is home to Bolsover Castle. Now under the care of English Heritage, today the castle is a Grade I listed building, open to the public and offers spectacular views over Derbyshire. And then just half an hour away from Chesterfield, you’ll find the market town of Worksop which is accessible via the A619 road.

One of Chesterfield’s most famous landmarks is its crooked spire. At 228 feet high, it dominates the town’s skyline. However the spire wasn’t always crooked, and there are many local legends as to why the spire has twisted over the years, however best guesses blame the weight of the lead tiles on the original wooden framework. Chesterfield is also famous for its historic open air market, which opened all the way back in 1204! Selling food, clothes, homeware and gifts, it’s a shopper’s paradise.

The closest airport is East Midlands Airport, which is just 40 minutes away, whilst Manchester Airport is just over an hour’s drive away from Chesterfield.
