Nestled on the edge of North Berwick, Williamstone Farm Steadings boasts three properties on the owner's four-acre plot, including their pet-free holiday home, The Byre. Once used to accommodate livestock, The Byre has been converted into a contemporary, modern place to stay whilst keeping its charm with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and stone walls.

There are plenty of places to visit whilst staying here. The Drift café is set inside old shipping containers on a cliff overlooking Canty Bay, and a little bit closer to the farm is Steampunk Coffee based in the centre of North Berwick, both pup friendly.

Fancy a tipple? The Herringbone has the best cocktails in town and also serves food, and local wine merchant Lockett Bros offer wines, gins and whisky to enjoy whilst feasting on a platter of hams and cheeses. There is even a dogfriendly, family-run farm shop, Brand’s Larder. Here you can stock up on fresh meat, eggs, fruit and vegetables - all reared and grown on site.

The Rookery

Roughlee, East Lancashire

Surrounded by six acres of stunning farmland, The Rookery is a unique grassroofed detached stone dwelling in East Lancashire, providing an idyllic location to holiday with your favourite family pet. It has elements of rustic living tied in the with industrial Lancashire background, featuring retro influences and bespoke craftsmanship throughout.

There are plenty of cycle routes around the area for the bike enthusiasts, or those who enjoy a more relaxed afternoon can enjoy a good old pub lunch with plenty serving food within a few miles, all welcoming furry friends.

The Rookery is a great base for trips to nearby towns; with Barrowford is just two miles down the road and boasts plenty of eateries and a supermarket. A little further afield sits Haworth and Brontë country, around 15 miles away, while the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are under an hour's drive away.

Thistledown Glamping

Llandysul, West Wales

Looking for something a little closer to nature? Take a trip to Wales for a Thistledown Glamping experience, featuring two shepherd's huts handmade using reclaimed, vintage and upcycled materials and set in a wild meadow next to pond that turns a water wheel. Choose either the Wren or the Finch; the Wren is aimed at couples, with a woodfired hot tub, with the Finch more family-orientated with a double bed and bunkbeds. Both huts are fully equipped with everything you could need to make your stay nice and cosy.

There are plenty of dog friendly beaches nearby, with the stunning Ceredigion Coastal Path walk just 20 minutes away. Why not then finish the day by heading to The Daffodil Inn on your way back to your hut? A standout attraction of the area is the dolphin-spotting trip from New Quay Harbour and a local doggy day care caters for our four-legged friends if the huts are being used as a base for an event like a wedding.

Bethnal and Bec

Hertfordshire

Is quirky and unique are more your thing? Then perhaps staying in Bethnal or Bec will be more your cup of tea. Located in Cottered, a charming little village in the rolling Hertfordshire countryside, the two properties feature city chic crossed with country comfort interiors, boasting everything you'll need to lock yourselves away for a full weekend -including fully stocked pantries for you and the dog! All you have to do is settle your bill at the end of your stay for what you have used. If you do fancy venturing out then the surrounding Lee Valley area is home to over40 nature reserves and historic houses andlandscape gardens to stroll around.

There is the Jolly Waggoners, a two mile walk on footpaths, which boasts ‘real food and real ales’ with all the food sourced from Church Farm just across the road. The farm's café and a farm shop offers all the essentials you'll need during your stay and with various local villages and towns nearby to visit – all within a 30 minute drive – you're unlikely to be stuck for something to do.

The Looker's Legacy

Rural Kent

With stunning views looking over the surround Romney Marsh. The Lookers Legacy is a recently renovated Lookers' Hut sitting next to a vineyard. It features modern interiors yet still retains a cosy feel thanks to its woodburning stove for those chillier evenings.

The open-plan living area is complemented by the natural light that floods in from the bifolding doors, which lead to a secluded terrace - perfect for those hot summer days. The hut also boasts a hot tub tucked away. The hut is positioned not far from the Saxon. 

Shore Way, a mile away from the pet-friendly Ferry Inn, while the local town of Tenterden is just six miles away and boasts a wide array of independent shops and cafes. The nearest coast is just nine miles away and if you fancy going even further afield, the historic town of Hastings is just over an hour's drive.
