Nichola-Kate takes us on a tour of her home

It was a chance visit that led Nichola-Kate and Lloyd to visit a show home on our Instinct development three years ago. They were driving past when they spotted the signs to the show home and, although they weren’t quite ready to buy, decided to visit out of curiosity.

“We instantly fell in love with the Geneva,” says Nichola-Kate. “We kept visiting until we plucked up the courage to ask how much the house would be. Initially we thought that we wouldn’t be able to afford it. We spoke to Eileen about our finances and she made some phone calls on our behalf. When she called with the news that we could afford a Strata home, we were so excited and paid our deposit straight away.”

Exploring the Geneva

The open-plan layout was the first feature that attracted Nichola-Kate and Lloyd to the Geneva. Being able to choose between having the living room and kitchen open plan or closed off was a real selling point for them.

“We made our way through the house and continued to fall in love with it. However, it was the master bedroom that sold the house to us,” admits Nichola-Kate. “We loved how big and open it was. Along with the living room it is now one of my favourite rooms in our home.”

An eye for interiors

Nichola-Kate has a keen eye for interiors and design, which is evident as you look around her home. Each corner has been carefully planned, with lots of time spent considering wallpaper, furniture and interiors choices.

Some of her favourite items include a statement Laura Ashley Mirror in the hallway, a beautiful cascading light above the dining table and a huge super-king bed, complete with a dramatic headboard.
