Little Hiccups is our Charity of the Year!
Every year, we pledge our support to an amazing cause by taking part in a year-long fundraising campaign. So after a resounding success in 2015, we’re proud and very excited to announce our Charity of the Year will be Little Hiccups.

Little Hiccups is based in Leeds and is a support group for parents who have children with special needs. The charity was set up six years ago and now provides support for more than 200 families across the region.

Linsay Medica, who co-founded the group, said: “Little Hiccups gives parents the chance to meet others, share experiences and focus on the positives our children bring. We’ve grown from turning up with a bag of toys and a jar of coffee into stay and play sessions, outreach and monthly family fun days, such as cinema, skiing and days out at local attractions. It’s an amazing opportunity for Little Hiccups to have the backing from Strata. We can support more families and really make a difference.

An exciting year of events

Our Charity and Events Manager Leonie Weaver is now working on an action-packed year of fundraising activities, and we’ll be asking staff, supply chain, family and friends to get involved and show their support.
Challenges will include:

Committed to the cause

Our Chief Executive Andrew Weaver took part in a number of events last year including the Major Series and the Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield. He’s right behind the campaign and the charity for 2016.
“We’re delighted to be working with Little Hiccups,” says Andrew. “We met Linsay last year and were bowled over by her commitment and vision for a very personal quest. We hope to match her energy and enthusiasms in our fundraising efforts throughout the year.”
Last year, we raised more than £80,000 for national children’s charity When You Wish Upon a Star. Find out more here.
We’re now looking forward to a fun year of fundraising and raising as much as we can for Little Hiccups.
