We can't believe we're halfway through the year already, and it's safe to say the Strata team is throwing itself into fundraising for Little Hiccups – literally!
So far we've tackled The Major Series and donned our bowling shoes, but nothing could prepare us for this latest challenge.
In one of our most daring activities to date, brave employees, stakeholders and suppliers took part in a skydive for our Charity of the Year.
Taking the plunge
The courageous team gathered at Hibalstow Airfield, where they split into groups of 12 to tackle the 15,000-foot skydive. Reaching speeds of 120mph, this certainly wasn't a challenge for the faint-hearted!
Among them was Land Director Nigel Robson. “I’ve always wanted to do a sky dive,” he said on the day. “I admit I was a bit nervous when the morning came around, but still couldn’t wait to do it! The experience was an amazing one; I honestly don’t know to describe it other than truly amazing! What a great day for a great cause.”
Thanks to everyone who showed their support and who has donated to this fantastic cause so far. You can find out more about our Charity of the Year, Little Hiccups, here.
There's plenty still to come in 2016, including our magnificent Charity Ball, so don't forget to keep up with our fundraising activities by taking a look at our events calendar.
