This year our team have got muddy, taken on dark tunnels and ice baths, jumped out of planes and completed hundreds of kilometres on bike, foot and boat to raise money for our Charity of the Year, Little Hiccups. We’re proud to say that over the past 12 months, our team raised an incredible £90,557!
We’d like to thank all our staff, supply chain, family, friends and of course everyone who donated and helped support this amazing charity. Little Hiccups supports parents of children with special needs and helps more than 200 families living in the Yorkshire region.
A year-long effort
Our 2016 events calendar has been pretty busy, with our Charity and Events Manager Leonie Weaver having her hands full planning and organising activities throughout the year.
More than 40 of our colleagues, friends and supply chain battled through mud and water in the Major Series obstacle course at Bramham Park in March, and others tackled a staggering 15,000-foot skydive, getting up to speeds of 120mph. Everyone has been keen to raise as much money as they could for this inspiring cause.
Charity summer ball
Halfway through the year, we held our Charity Ball, giving our team the chance to swap their running shoes for dancing ones. More than 750 guests attended the event at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, enjoying a meal and charity auction, which raised more than £55,000. Other activities included Yorkshire Warrior, the Trailblazer Half Marathon and a Colour Run.
Our team were proud to present a cheque for the full amount to Linsay Medica, founder of Little Hiccups.
