What decorations do I need?

A good table dressing and centerpiece is the key to any great dinner party. It’s a fantastic talking point and is something fun for all the family to get involved in making, especially around the Easter period. Think, a strip of artificial grass down the middle of the table to act as a table runner, place flowers, rabbit ornaments or even bowls of eggs (plastic, chocolate or hard boiled eggs that the kids can decorate) along the runner and add fluffy yellow chicks, dotted around sporadically to add character. Easter bunting is also great to add around the house along with Easter themed balloons!
And finally, saving the best until last, of course and Easter wreath! These, nowadays are just as popular as the Christmas wreath, hang one on your front door to really set the theme of your party!

What can the kids make?
Homemade bunting is just one of many easy homemade decorations you can make with your children. All you need is some card, string and colouring pencils to decorate with. Another decoration the kids can easily get involved with is the decoration of the eggs for the centerpiece. All you have to do it hard boil some eggs and once cooled they are ready to decorate with felt tip pens or paint.

What food should I serve?
Quick and easy finger food is always great for a party but your deserts are when you can get really creative… anything from Easter nests to white chocolate rocky road. You can make your own Easter eggs and even bake your own giant Easter themed cake. Remember, it’s Easter so the more chocolate the better!

Are there any special Easter games?
Games are a sure way of making any party more fun. A classic Easter themed game that gets all the family involved is an Easter egg hunt! Dot small chocolate eggs around your home and garden and write down hints and tips of where you can find them. Another really fun game that you can play is the old school egg and spoon race. All you need is a raw egg, a spoon and a start and finish line!
